Different uses for portable air conditioning

Portable air conditioners are self-contained units that are quick to set up and install. They can be used for events or emergencies. Anywhere that requires some form of spot cooling. Here are a few examples of different use cases:

Outdoor events

Outdoor events like weddings and concerts are perfect uses for a spot cooler. Outdoor wedding marquees can be cooled on hot summer days and opened out in the evening. Concert and event back-end equipment and crews will need cooling while the event is run. Even what people assume to be impossible to cool events can usually be covered using one or many portable air conditioners.

Server rooms

These installations can be permanent or temporary for emergencies. Some server room designs are based on enclosed clusters of racks facing each other. These enclosures are perfect for portable air conditioners. In other designs, a portable unit can be brought in when there is a failure of the central air conditioner and system uptime has to be maintained. There have been times when multiple portable units have been used to cool an entire server farm while the main unit is under maintenance.

Workshops

Another good use case is for cooling industrial workplaces. Factories and other facilities sometimes cannot afford to cool an entire structure. In those cases, portable cooling can be used to cool areas where staff will be concentrated. This allows economical cooling while maintaining the high productivity levels that come with cooler workspaces.
